Lush's Intergalactic Bath Bomb
I'm not a morning bath person - I much prefer them in the evening to wind down. However, I was feeling very tired and needing some pepping up before travelling down to my grandparents later on today. I chose Lush's Intergalactic bath bomb and it really is quite something!

I think it's fair to say that I picked up this bomb because of its appearance. From what I saw, it was probably the prettiest product in the shop. It's a gorgeous deep cyan colour with swirls of white, pink and yellow. It also has a tonne of glitter. Despite the look of the bomb, I wasn't mad keen on the scent. The sticky-label on the packet explains that it has peppermint and popping candy in it, with a fragrance of 'intergalactic 80s rogue.' I'm not quite sure what that's meant to smell like, but it is strong of peppermint. Unfortunately, I automatically associate the smell of mint with toothpaste. But because it has this scent, its very fresh and perfect for summer. The lady at the till in Lush says she put this bath bomb in the paddling pool, which I think is such a cool idea! The smell is quite revitalising, which is why I chose it for a morning bath as I knew it would wake me up.
When you drop this bath bomb into the water, the cyan colour spreads out into the bath, taking all the glitter with it. The other white, pink and yellow colours seeped into the water like shooting stars and it looked awesome against the deeper blue water. It reminded me of tie-dye, which I suppose ties in with the '80s rogue.' Once the bomb had all fizzed away, the bright colours had gone and left midnight blue water with lots of gold glitter. This looked liked thousands of stars in the night sky. Because of this space, night-time theme, this could also work for a evening bath. There was a small amount of glitter is still on my skin, which doesn't bother me too much as it looks lovely in the sun, but most of it left a huge gold mess after I let the water out. For this reason, I don't think this the best bomb for relaxing. The water felt so soft and mositurising so it had skin benefits as well as being fun to use. When you were in the bath, the smell wasn't too pungent. I was a bit dissapointed because I assumed the popping candy in the bomb would mean that it would make a noise as it dissolved into the water, but I couldn't hear anything.

Like the Frozen bath bomb I used last week (if you haven't read the review of that yet, you can find it here), this product is exclusive to the new Oxford Street Lush store. If I find myself there again, I would definitely repurchase it. I know I wasn't too happy about the smell, but once your actually in the bath its not too strong at all. Also, I can deal with the mess at the end - for the beautiful bath you have, its a decent price to pay! I would recommend this bomb to someone who loves fresh, minty fragrances, fun baths or needs a bath bomb that will pep them up.
As soon as I got into the bath, my mum called up to say that my Pandora ring my friends sent for my birthday and my Pretty Little Liars Season 5 DVD had arrived. Right now, I'm listening to my summer playlist. This is a promising start to the day!
Have a lovely weekend - I'll be watching PLL!
From,
Eleanor
