A Week in Outfits
Oh hey! Long time no see.
I have been super busy with all my uni stuff recently; I've got to that stage where I pretend everything's okay, watch a tonne of Brooklyn 99 and consume far too many Party Rings to procrastinate doing the work I actually have to do, hence I haven't really been on here much. Also, the photo set up - as you will be able to tell - hasn't really been sorted out yet. My box room isn't great for good outfit shots etc, so I've been wondering how to tackle a week in outfits post. I've settled with a a mirror selfie...I'm sorry, you're going to have to bare with for a while I think :').
I've kept you waiting for a new post for long enough, so without further ado, let's get on with the week in outfits, shall we?
monday.
First of all, I'd like to point out that I haven't really updated my A/W wardrobe since last year, so I don't know how much will still be available. But I'm pretty happy with how my clothes collection is looking right now. My most favourite recent addition to my wardrobe, however, are these jeans from ASOS. If you've ready any of my other outfit posts, you'll probably already be aware how much I love my ASOS Farleigh pale blue ripped mom jeans. So when I was looking for a pair of black mom jeans, I made a beeline for ASOS. I'm obsessed with them, and the wash is really nice too - a cool twist on a simple pair of black jeans. I paired this simply with my trusty Dorothy Perkins plain white tee, and my Pull & Bear pink trainers (similar). The best part of this outfit for me, however, is this coat. I lived in it last A/W and couldn't wait to bring it out again. I picked it up from New Look last year, and they seemed to have bought out a similar one for this season. The backpack is also from New Look.
tuesday.
When I'm looking for something nice and snuggly for the colder months, some chunky knitwear is my go-to. I love this mustard-y jumper from Topshop (similar) and all the colours weaved into the base yellow material. It's the perfect cosy jumper. There's some dark threads in the jumper, so I like to wear it with my New Look black skinnys and these high heeled brown boots from Clarks (similar). I'd like to say that I lasted the whole day in these boots, but I did run back for my flats. To add some more autumnal tones and a boost of extra snuggliness, I wore this scarf from Miss Selfridge (similar).
wednesday.
I really love this outfit; it might be my favourite of the week. My Topshop denim jacket comes in handy for so many things, but I really like using it to casualise something that could otherwise look to formal. For example, this top (similar) and skirt (similar) combo - both items from New Look. For a more wintery look, I wore my beloved Clarks black ankle boots and black tights from Tesco. Again, the leather backpack is from New Look.
thursday.
Oh look, those jeans have unsurprisingly popped again. I'm telling you, I hardly take them off. I like paring slightly baggier jeans like these with tighter tops just to balance things out a bit, which is why I absolutely adore wearing this black and white stripy bardot from Miss Selfridge (similar). I think it looks pretty effortlessly stylish, even if I do say so myself. To bring it down to a casual uni outfit, however, I once again wore my pink Pull & Bear trainers (similar) and took my black leather New Look backpack again.
friday.
I actually have Fridays off of uni, which I fab since I get some extra long weekends, so today's outfit was stayed pretty relaxed. I swapped my black ASOS Farleigh jeans for the aforementioned ripped blue pair which are equally as comfy. Once again, I went for a more fitted top in this grey one from Dorothy Perkins (similar). The best part of this outfit, though, is obviously the shoes...if you can even call them that. Me and my flat mate are now the proud owners of these fluffy sliders from H&M and I love them. They're perfect for uni kitchens if you don't want mucky feet or socks, plus they're just super cute.
So that's my week in outfits. Hopefully it's not too long before I'm out and about here again.
From.
Eleanor
