Autumn

I've never known what my favourite season is, but I think I'm pretty sure now that it is Autumn. The trees turn colourful, there's always the excuse to throw on a blanket by the fire and drink every hot chocolate going, and you're almost in touching distance of the festive season. Autumn is definitely the most beautiful season. I love photography, and though I may not have the most high-tech camera in the world (it's the one attached to my Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini), I was really up for capturing the lovely Autumnal scenes outside. Below are some of my favourites. Hope you like them! If you're not a fan of trees, this probably isn't your ideal post.

Expect to see a lot more Autumnal posts in the future - it's my favourite time of year for fashion and I have some exciting baking posts lined up inspired by Halloween.

Tom Odell Live [Review]

I sit here, tucked under my duvet in my Wrong Crowd t-shirt, trying to find the words to describe last night's events: exhilarating, emotional, powerful, fantastic. Pushed up against a barrier with my hair sticking to my forehead, and the girl next to me swaying this way and that, I screamed the lyrics to Tom Odell's songs for an hour and a half straight, as he embarked on the Birmingham leg of his No Bad Days Tour 2016.  Calm and collected, unlike everyone in the crowd, Tom strolled onto the stage and took his seat at the grand piano. The lyrics of Still Getting Used to Being On My Own glided in, and as the intensity of the instruments built, as the did the light show, alongside the sheer passion behind Tom's vocals. I thought this was a strange opener; the song deliberates the tragic struggle of getting over a relationship. However, this was picked up by the thriving rock ballad I Know, which inspired plenty of fist pumps. Following this was his latest album...

A Week in Outfits

Oh hey! Long time no see. I have been super busy with all my uni stuff recently; I've got to that stage where I pretend everything's okay, watch a tonne of Brooklyn 99 and consume far too many Party Rings to procrastinate doing the work I actually have to do, hence I haven't really been on here much. Also, the photo set up - as you will be able to tell - hasn't really been sorted out yet. My box room isn't great for good outfit shots etc, so I've been wondering how to tackle a week in outfits post. A Week in Outfits: Holiday Edition

When it comes to seasonal fashion, I know exactly what I like during Autumn/Winter - if it's cable knit and comfy I'm there. But in the warmer months I like to push the boat out a little bit...and when I say 'push the boat out', I mean wear something that isn't grey or black, and maybe even a skirt or two. Before I went to Florida, I did a big spend up on summer clothes. I couldn't wait to wear them all, so decided to wear them all in the first week of our holiday!
