Sixth Form, Bake Off and The New Look

...

Ok, let's not ignore the elephant in the room. I haven't posted in quite a while. I'M SORRY. But I have a perfectly good excuse for it. I can officially go by the title 'Ellie the Sixth Former' (although 'Ellie' will do), but with the title comes responsibilities e.g. homework, deadlines and needing to go sleep a lot earlier, so for this reason blogging has had to be put to one side for a little while. However, I'm enjoying sixth form at the moment. I transferred to a school a little less local than my previous one where I didn't really know anyone, so I was pretty worried about all the big scary people going to be in my year. Despite that, I've settled in well. There are a few big scary ones but I have met some lovely people who have been very welcoming and friendly to me. My favourite thing about Sixth Form at the moment is the freedom.  I also love the subjects I'm taking; Media Studies, English Literature, Psychology and History. I think taking the subjects you really want to do makes such a difference to your attitude towards going to school everyday. Despite the luxuries, it's hard work. Sorry to all the secondary schoolers who think their little homework tasks were the end of the world. Sometimes my head hurts with all the information and there are times when a teacher is waffling on about something and find myself thinking 'whattttttt?' But you know, what else would I expect? If you work hard, you get the grades. I think I'm going to have a good year.

Other than sixth form, I haven't really been doing an awful lot. Summer seems an age ago, but I can't say I'm completely missing the days when I wasted my life away watching YouTube videos I've watched one million times before. What I am enjoying watching at the moment though is the Bake Off. Who doesn't love the Bake Off? Although *SPOILER ALERT* I'm so sad Mat got voted out. Yes, he was the right person to go this week, but his biscuit fire engine in the second week confirmed he was my favourite. Now I think my favourite is Tamal, but I also think Flora is amazing. In other TV news, they've finished filming part two of Pretty Little Liars, Season 6, and I'm soooooo excited.

Also I hope you like the new layout of the blog. I thought it might be worth making it look less like it was a scroll from the 1800s.

I know nothing's really gone on in this post - I'll get back to the norm soon, I promise - but I just thought I'd update you. I like doing little chatty posts.

Hope you're all well and see you soon!

From,
Eleanor
