Quick & Easy Makeup Look
I know that for many of us going back to school, one thing that can worry us is our make up. I'm going to try and help out with a super quick makeup look so you might still be able to have that precious extra five minutes in bed. This look would be perfect in your in a rush for any situation, not just school. Its quite a subtle look so if you don't like wearing a lot of makeup this would be good for you. Also, a lot of the products I've suggested are from Boots/Superdrug, so are easy to get and affordable.
I'd just like to point out that I don't think its necessary to wear makeup, especially at school. You should only wear it if you enjoy wearing it, not just because you feel you have to. I'd also like to say that I am no expert whatsoever - these are the products I love and the way I use them, you can use the ones you like if you don't feel this is right for you.

MAC Moisture Cover Concealer in NW15
For a quick makeup look, I wouldn't recommend using foundation. I think it takes too long to blend in properly, but if you can't go without it, feel free to add that step in here. If you feel you need it, you can use a primer as your first step also to keep your makeup on that extra bit longer. I've just started off with concealer. My favourite concealer is the MAC Moisture Cover in NW15. As the name would suggest, its very moisturising so if you get dry eyes like me, it's a dream. I use this to cover up my tired under-eyes in the morning as well as pesky blemishes, spots or redness I may have. It gives a lovely, healthy finish to your skin whilst giving a light-medium coverage. It blends really nicely just by applying it with your finger. I don't have a drugstore alternative because to be completely honest, I've never tried one. However, I've heard raving reviews about the Collection Lasting Perfection for covering up imperfections and the Rimmel Wake Me Up for added radiance.

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Transparent
To keep the concealer in place its good to use a powder. The powder I like to use is the Rimmel Stay Matte. Although I do like a healthy looking finish, this is my favourite powder ever. It keeps everything in order throughout the day, but would be a handy product to keep in your bag just so you can touch up during breaks. It would be particularly good if you have oily skin as it has a matte effect. I use the transparent shade so it doesn't show up on your skin, but there are coloured ones available to give you a little bit more coverage. I just apply this with a powder brush. Saying that, you could use a blush brush instead to save money.

Benefit Gimme Brow in Medium/Dark
Next is brows. Although I don't think brows are the most crucial step, especially when your in school, it does define your face a whole lot more. To make it quick, I advise using a brow gel instead of going through the frustrating filling-in procedure. I like the Benefit Gimme Brow in medium/dark. This is quite a pricey product, but it has such a teeny-tiny brush so it defines in the smallest of hairs and works amazingly. If you are looking for a drugstore alternative, I've heard good things about the Maybelline Brow Drama. Brow gels don't make the brows stand out a great deal, instead just keeps them in place whilst defining them a touch more. I think this is a good way to do it if you go to a school that's quite strict with makeup.

Max Factor Masterpiece Max Mascara
Usually I would have a thin lick of eyeliner just running across my lash line, but who has time for that in the morning? I would just move on to mascara. I recommend the Max Factor Masterpiece Max. This mascara gives a lot of volume with separation, whilst still looking pretty subtle, depending on how many coats you use. I think drugstore mascaras are brilliant for the amount of money you pay for them. This one was £9.99.

Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Me (left) and Peach Kiss (right)
Last but not least is lips. Lips are not the most important thing when going to school but it is important to keep them moisturised. A product that mixes moisturisation with a little bit of colour whilst being the cheapest thing on this post, is the Maybelline Baby Lips. They come in a range of colours, including transparent ones. I have two shades - Peach Kiss and Cherry Me. Peach Kiss is a slightly more subtle, wearable colour. Its a nude peach. Cherry Me is a berry/pink colour so works really well for autumn. It tastes of cherries (duh) and it is lovely. For the price you pay, which I think is £2.99, these are wonderful products. It's a useful one to keep in your school bag to ensure your lips are moisturised throughout the day. They do claim they have 8 hour moisturisation but I do think it needs to be topped up every 2 hours or so.
That's it! 5 products to complete a quick and easy makeup look to prepare you for the day.
See you soon!
From,
Eleanor
