Summer in Photos: First 3 Days in Florida
I have no idea how long we've been planning on hopping on a plane over to Florida, but it seems like forever. The day finally arrived last Monday to take our 8-and-a-half hour flight over to Orlando airport and into the sweltering heat. Though our holiday isn't over quite yet, I'm having the best time, exploring all the Disney parks and soaking up the magic. I've taken so many pictures that it's best I break things up a bit, so here are our adventures on our first three days: Disney's Hollywood Studios, Universal Studios Florida, and Magic Kingdom!
DAY ONE: HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS
Our first day was spent in Disney's Hollywood Studios park. I love the 'golden era' feel of the place, mixed with the incredible Star Wars themed parades and rides. My fave rides though had to be the Rock n Rollercoaster and Toy Story Midway Mania - very different but very fun. We stopped off for dinner at Sci Fi dining, which was set out like a drive in cinema, with pretty great Veggie Burgers 👌
DAY TWO: UNIVERSAL STUDIOS FLORIDA
Any Harry Potter fan in Florida can't miss the amazing scenes at Universal. We spent the day mostly down Diagon Alley, specifically in the queue for Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts (the best ride so far). I could spend so long down there. Other than that, we did the Men in Black ride, then travelled back home to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks on the beach.
DAY THREE: MAGIC KINGDOM
Magic Kingdom is probably my favourite Disney park, if only for all the Beauty and the Beast centric stuff. We had breakfast in the Be Our Guest restaurant, which was i.n.s.a.n.e, as well as lunch in Gaston's Tavern, but the Happily Ever After fireworks display was the sure highlight of the day. The Festival of Fantasy parade was brilliant, as were classic rides like Splash Mountain, the Haunted Mansion and Big Thunder Mountain.
My first three days in Florida were absolutely fab. I can't wait to share the rest of my time in Florida witchu :)
From,
Eleanor
