Sixth Form, Bake Off and The New Look

... Ok, let's not ignore the elephant in the room. I haven't posted in quite a while. I'M SORRY. But I have a perfectly good excuse for it. I can officially go by the title 'Ellie the Sixth Former' (although 'Ellie' will do), but with the title comes responsibilities e.g. homework, deadlines and needing to go sleep a lot earlier, so for this reason blogging has had to be put to one side for a little while. However, I'm enjoying sixth form at the moment. I transferred to a school a little less local than my previous one where I didn't really know anyone, so I was pretty worried about all the big scary people going to be in my year. Despite that, I've settled in well. There are a few big scary ones but I have met some lovely people who have been very welcoming and friendly to me. My favourite thing about Sixth Form at the moment is the freedom.  I also love the subjects I'm taking; Media Studies, English Literature, Psychology and History....

Lush's Yoga Bomb Bath Bomb

Image
As some of you may know, I started sixth form on Friday. It was a weird mix of emotions - nerves because I didn't know anybody or what to expect, but also excitement that I was doing everything I wanted to. Friday was an induction day; I start properly on Tuesday. I have a lovely form mentor and made friends with some of the girls in the group. The night before, I thought to treat myself to a relaxing bath. Just by being called 'Yoga Bomb', I knew this was the perfect fit.  Lush's Yoga Bomb Bath Bomb At first glance, you might think this to be a pretty boring bath. I'm not a huge fan of it's appearance. It's a plain orange bomb with a bit of glitter, so no hint of incredible colours bursting all around your water, which is what I like for my bath bombs. But smell it, and it's more than likely ending up in your basket. It's a woody fragrance, which some might turn their nose up at when hearing it (I did), but I'm totally okay with a wood...

Quick & Easy Makeup Look

Image
I know that for many of us going back to school, one thing that can worry us is our make up. I'm going to try and help out with a super quick makeup look so you might still be able to have that precious extra five minutes in bed. This look would be perfect in your in a rush for any situation, not just school. Its quite a subtle look so if you don't like wearing a lot of makeup this would be good for you. Also, a lot of the products I've suggested are from Boots/Superdrug, so are easy to get and affordable.  I'd just like to point out that I don't think its necessary to wear makeup, especially at school. You should only wear it if you enjoy wearing it, not just because you feel you have to.  I'd also like to say that I am no expert whatsoever - these are the products I love and the way I use them, you can use the ones you like if you don't feel this is right for you. August Favourites

Image
Happy September! I can't believe August is over already - it feels like I blinked and I missed it. Being the end of another month, I have the opportunity to discuss my favourite things from August with you. As I've said on my 'About' page, I don't have a forte, so there are going to be a range of products mentioned. I've never done one of these before, but I hope you enjoy it. Let's get cracking!  Chloe Body Lotion My first favourite is something I've mentioned briefly before in my Lanzarote Part I post, and that is my Chloe body lotion. I love this stuff. Yes, it is fairly pricey, and yes, it goes quicker than you would like it to, but honestly it smells incredible and does great things to your skin. I use this every time I come out of the shower and smother it over my arms and legs. After doing so, my skin feels so soft. It has also helped to maintain the little tan I got from my holiday while moisturising what has been dried out by the sun. T...
