I Spent A Lot of Money

For someone who is meant to be saving up for summer holidays and the student life uni will be bringing come September, I've been spending a lot of money recently. To be fair, I did need some summer bits and bobs for said holidays, but, as expected, I went a teensy weensy bit overboard. But hey, at least I have something to blog about...

1.

I brought this Topshop Denim Jacket a few weeks back and I don't know how I ever lived without it. It's become such a staple in my wardrobe, especially at this time of year when the weather is a bit undecided about what it's doing. It goes with so many things as well - I love pairing it with this White Tee from Topshop which I received from my mum and dad as a lil Easter gift, my beloved New Look High-Waisted Black Jeans and my Clarks Brown Brogues for an easy Spring-time ensemble.

2.

I like to refer to this gorgeous top as my Stevie Nicks top - she is my ultimate queen, and she rocks all sorts of floaty numbers. This one is from a brand called Band of Gypsies at Topshop (I think it must be out of stock at the moment, but they have these adorable matching shorts or dress). I'm obsessed with the little tasselled drawstring it has at the front, and the mixed rose pattern is super pretty. A top like this goes best with simple shorts; these ones are vintage Levi's 501s from a local vintage shop (these ones from the ASOS Marketplace are pretty similar). Add some cute sandals to tie the look together and you're summer holiday ready!

3.

Whenever I go into London, a visit to Pull & Bear down Oxford Street is essential for me. They sell such a great range of stuff, including this super cute t-shirt which I picked up when I went a couple of weeks ago. It's a bit difficult to tell in this photo, but it has small shiny gold stars dotted around it. It's a great quick throw-on tee with a bit of a twist, which I've been pairing a lot with my ASOS Ripped Mom Jeans and trainers for something simple and relaxed.

This outfit is definitely my favourite in this whole haul, not matter how cold I was taking the pictures in it. As soon as I saw that Minkpink on ASOS had collaborated with Disney for a Beauty and the Beast themed collection, I knew I had to pick up something. This t-shirt is what I went for, and is now probably one of my favourite things that I own - not only is it gosh-darn adorable, but it's fantastic quality, uber comfortable, and its subtle reference to the best film ever means I don't look too much like a crazy fangirl. My go-to summer outfit will consist of this tee, these Black High Waisted Denim Shorts from Next, which I am in love with, and white Converse low-tops. Parfait.

5.

Finally, a bit of a dressier option. I found these jazzy Pinstripe Trousers from Dorothy Perkins a couple of weeks ago. I'd been on the hunt for a pair for a while, and these are fab for either dressing up or down, coming to just above the ankle. On the top I like this slouchy white tee from Dorothy Perkins to relax the outfit a bit, but they also go beautifully with white or black camis for an extra smart addition. For shoes, pink or stone coloured heels are perfect, but black pumps go equally well for an everyday option. But whatever the occasion, I'm digging the stripes.

So that's what I've spent all my money on recently; I am super happy with my purchases though, and I know I'll get loads of wear out of this lovely lot.

From,
Eleanor
