Winter to Spring Lookbook

Hello! Happy 2017! Yes, I am probably the last person in the world to say that but this is my first post of the new year, so have a gooden.

Although winter seems like it lasts for 3/4 of the year, we are slowly but surely edging into spring, and the SS17 collections will be popping up in our shops here, there and everywhere before we know it. This mini lookbook includes some of the stuff I've really been enjoying recently that are sure to take me through to spring.

*Some of these things I've had for a while, so will link similar things if I can find some:)*

|LOOK 1|

Coat: New Look, Top: Miss Selfridge (similar), Jeans: New Look,
Scarf: Miss Selfridge (similar), Boots: Clarks
As we slip into spring, layering is a must. The traditional duster coat never seems to go out of winter fashion. Its not too thick, so perfect for the transitional period. Adding pops of colour with the khaki top and colourful scarf brings the outfit to life. Snap these boots up while you can: they've been added to the Clarks sale, and I can't recommend them enough. The block heel makes them super comfy, and the tan leather goes with everything while being a nice alternative to black. Simple but effective.

Cardigan: Zara (similar), Jeans: ASOS, Shirt: New Look (similar), Brogues: Clarks

Nothing beats a cosy cardigan on chilly evenings. They are such a versatile piece and can be dressed up or dressed down - this look is somewhere in between. Pairing a must-have striped shirt with the ripped mom jeans makes for a relaxed look, plus these jeans are uber comfortable and I have worn them to death. The brogues add a cutesy edge to the outfit and pull it all together.

|LOOK 3|

Top: Dorothy Perkins, Skirt: New Look (similar), Earrings: Topshop  (similar),
Tights: Tesco, Boots: Clarks

This ensemble incorporates two of this winters biggest trends: high neck tops and textured fabrics. The cord material and zip detailing add a fun twist to a classic outfit. The black Chelsea boots are essential for any wardrobe and pair perfectly as dainty boot option for this girly look.

|LOOK 4|

Jumper: ASOS, Jeans: Miss Selfridge, Trainers: Pull and Bear (similar)
Embroidery has been a big thing this season, and these jeans with their adorable floral embroidery have become a firm favourite in my wardrobe. Also incorporating cute embroidery is this lightweight black jumper: simplistic on the the front so it doesn't clash with the pattern on the jeans, but the little star-shaped elbow patches add another twist. The pink in the floral embroidery pairs perfectly with these comfy pink plimsolls, and brings together the pastel tones sure to make it big this spring.

|LOOK 5|

Top: ASOS, Jeans: New Look, Heels: New Look (similar), Earrings: Pia
This is the ideal party look for when it's not formal enough for a posh dress, but not casual enough to wear jeans and a t-shirt. The gorgeous metallic knit stands out so well against the plain black jeans and heels, while the earrings draw the silver in the outfit together. Having earrings that don't dangle too low means that they don't detract attention from the main part of the look, while still looking like you've put effort in. Block heels are also great for this time of year, the platform and wide heel making them surprisingly comfortable. This will for sure be my go-to party outfit this season.

Eleanor
