3 Looks with the NYX Warm Neutrals Palette

Image
* So turns out I actually was organised and did plan a post to be published while I was away. Ten points to Eleanor.* I've noticed that a lot of the "Insta-glam" looks recently have revolved around bold, red-toned eye shadows, a hype that has only become bigger with the release of the Urban Decay Naked Heat palette. And I've got to say, I love the look. Eye shadow is probably what I'm least confident with when it comes to makeup - it tends to just look like I've got a black eye - but the beautiful works of art that I've seen around Instagram etc have really inspired me to try and get a little bit better. With that in mind, I couldn't justify spending however much it is to buy the Naked Heat palette, but I did find this - the NYX Ultimate Palette in Warm Neutrals . The 16-shade palette looks very, very similar to the burgundy-reds that Urban Decay offer for a fraction of the price, so a brilliant option for people like me who don't want to ...

My Favourite Fragrances

Image
To say I like fragrance is a bit of understatement. I have a lot of the stuff. I just love how different fragrances can remind you of different things or people, and how certain signature scents can become part of who you are, part of what people remember about you. Plus I just want to smell yummy. Obviously fragrance is a very personal and subjective thing, but in my ever-growing collection, I think I've found where my perfume preferences lie; with light, fresh scents - fruity and/or floral, not fussed - that are still strong and noticeable enough so that someone could say, "gurl, you smell good ." So, without further ado, these are my favourite fragrances... 1. Hollister's Luanda Bay Mist  has become my go-to body spray - the perfect thing to spritz on before running out of the door to school, or just as an everyday thing if I'm not fancying perfume. To me, it's a very summery spray - a kind of tropical, exotic vibe underpins it all - with ...

OOTD: Summer Ball

Image
If you go a little way back into the archives of this blog (although I recommend you don't, that stuff can get a tad cringey), you'll find an OOTD I did around this time last year for a Casino-Themed Ball. The time to celebrate the end of the school year - and actually the end of my school career, this time - has come back around, and I thought I'd share with you once again the outfit I put together. The theme this year was Hollywood. Although I didn't really stick to the theme so much this year, I'm super happy with how the look turned out, so I hope you like it too! I told myself that this year I wouldn't go for a black dress, as I wore black last year, but I couldn't turn this one down (and it does have plenty of other colours on it so I'll let myself off). It's probably the most 'me' dress I've ever owned, plus the interwoven colours of the flowers make pairing accessories and shoes with it a lot easier; you can get pretty...

My Summer in Photos: Adventures in Rome

Image
This summer promises to be a pretty full and pretty great one. I've got lots of trips and exciting plans lined up that I will be sharing with you lot through the snaps taken in a lil series of posts called My Summer in Photos . Kicking it all off was a trip to Rome with 6 of my nearest and dearest friends. I spent four-and-a-bit days soaking up the splendour the beautiful, beautiful city had to offer, constantly in awe of how completely amazing everything was. Everywhere you looked there was something new and interesting to see. So, here are the photos documenting my adventures in Rome.  DAY ONE - SETTLING IN, GALLERIA NAZIONALE D'ARTE MODERNA & MUSEI VATICANI  The morning of 30th June was spent waking up late and settling into the apartment and getting food and drink for the upcoming days. In the afternoon we travelled to the lovely and vast gardens of Villa Borgehese, mostly wandering around in the Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Moderna, or Gallery of Modern Art, ...
