Big Ol' Beauty Haul

Image
Cast your mind back to April 2019. A young, naive Ellie sat in her room, clearing out her excessive beauty stash,  putting in writing  that I really, really,  really  don't need to buy anymore makeup in a while.  Fast forward to three months and an £125 feelunique.com order later, and I'm unashamedly sat in a pool of wonderful new beauty bits. Raise your hand if you knew that wouldn't last long (*raises own hand*). But, I have found some absolute corkers over the last few months - and maybe if this post persuades you to splash the amount that I have on these beauties, maybe I won't feel so guilty. So if you are in the market for some luscious sustainable goodies, the most beautiful universal nude lipstick, and a perfume that makes you smell like a sexy businesswoman - don't go anywhere. In my  makeup clear out post , I mentioned that I was much more of a highlighter fiend than I thought. That hasn't changed. This makeup splurge was initiated by my pu...

30 Things I Want To Do Before I'm 30

I was in two minds about writing a post like this, because thinking about turning 30 seems absolutely bonkers to me. I turned 20 last week, and managed to fry an egg for the first time yesterday. I don't really feel qualified to be talking about turning 30. However, this post was promised in my last one (which is 20 Things I've Learned at 20 Years Old - check it out if you haven't already), and it has been fun - if a bit daunting - to think about all the crazy and cool things I could do and accomplish in my next decade. So I decided to do one of my favourite things - write a list. Here are 30 things I'd love to do before I probably will have to admit I am an adult. 1. Pass my driving test . Lots of people have obviously done this even before they hit 20, but learning to drive has always scared the bejeesus out of me. I've had a few lessons and very slowly I'm starting to relax into it a little more. I know when I eventually pass my test I'll be b...

20 Things I've Learned at 20 Years Old

Image
It's time to grab a bottle of champagne, eat my body weight in cake, and play 'In Da Club' by 50 Cent on repeat because it's your gal's birthday!!!! Or, at least, it was yesterday. But I'm still on a massive high after what was a truly lovely day, during which I laughed, cried and was spoiled more than any other year. I'm now 20, officially an adult, and moving into the third decade of my life. This is a decade in which I will wave goodbye to full-time education, find a job, move out of my parents' house and perhaps even get married and start a family of my own. And, in my opinion, this all sounds like Stephen King's next best-seller. But, if I've learned anything in my 20 years on this little planet we call Earth, you can't always plan these things out. And alongside that little life lesson, I've also learned...  1.) I was such a cute baby. Look at those cheeks. A grandmother's dream.  2.) Try more foods. When I was yo...
