Ellie's Monthly Playlist: May

So way back at the start of the year, I did a post about my favourite music of January (you can check it out  here  - I go on about The Greatest Showman soundtrack a lot, and after introducing my mum to the movie last week, my love for that album has been fully re-realised). Since then, my music taste has pretty much been George Ezra's new album, the Spotify This is: Lana del Rey playlist and a mix of all the old Panic! At the Disco albums, however I feel like I've listened to a lot more of a range of artists in May. Now I've finished uni, sometimes I get a bit bored, so I'll stick on an album I've been meaning to listen to, and just lie on my bed and drink it all in. So here's a new series on my blog I'm dubbing "Ellie's Monthly Playlist" - it might not be something you'll see pop up every month, but if you do, it'll be including new music, older music I've only just found, some re-discoveries I'm dying to share, or me hyping ...

First Year At Uni - Is It Really Over?

I'm lying here in bed looking around my dorm room and up at my notice board above my desk, which has photos, tickets, stickers all collected over my first year of uni. I moved to the city on the 16th September 2017 and it was one of the most terrifying days of my life. But let's backtrack a little bit. I ...

Let's Go Out Out

Apart from screaming the words to Crazy in Love or dancing to High School Musical songs in the cheese room at Oceana, the best part of going out for me is getting ready. Any excuse for me to slap on a bit more makeup than usual and dress up in outfits I don't wear too often but spend a lot of money on, I'm there. I'm also in my last week as a first year at uni, which is just terrifying to even think about. So last night was one of my last nights out in Southampton for a little while, so I decided to put a bit more effort into my makeup and outfit and got so excited about it that I demanded Emma wacked her snazzy camera out and snapped some photos of me. So, here we are, ladies and gents, with a little post about my makeup essentials for a night out, a bit of hair stuff and also probably my favourite look of the moment.  Let's start with makeup, shall we? More out of necessity for this particular night out than anything else was green corrector. The recen...
